What a Free Estimate Means for Us
When a homeowner asks whether we offer a free estimate, the answer is yes. There is no charge for us to look at your project and put together a number, and no obligation to hire us afterward. We would rather you have a clear picture of the work and the cost before you decide anything.
The reason we ask to see a project in person is simple. A remodel is not a standard product with a price tag, and the details that shape the price are usually visible only once someone is standing in the space.
How It Works
Step One: Reach Out
You can call us at (859) 692-8184 or send a message through our contact page. Tell us what you have in mind, whether that is a new kitchen, an updated bathroom, a home addition or some exterior work. A short description is plenty to get started.
Step Two: We Come to Look
We set up a time to come out and look at the project in person. Seeing the space for ourselves lets us understand the layout, the existing structure and what you actually want changed, instead of guessing from a phone call.
Step Three: We Put Together the Estimate
After we have seen the project, we put together a free estimate for the work. It is based on what we saw at your home, not a generic range.
What to Have Ready
You do not need a finished plan before you call. A few things help the conversation go further, though:
- A rough idea of which rooms or areas of the house are involved.
- What bothers you most about the space as it is today.
- Whether the project is inside the house, outside the house, or both.
- Any timing you have in mind, such as wanting work done before the colder months.
Interior, Exterior or Both
The estimate covers both sides of our work. Our interior remodeling includes kitchens, bathrooms and other inside projects. Our exterior remodeling includes framing and home additions. If a project spans both, such as an addition that also needs to be finished inside, the same crew looks at the whole job. With 35 years of experience remodeling homes, we have learned that the details that change a project are rarely obvious from a description. How a room is laid out, what the existing structure looks like and how a new space would connect to the rest of the house all affect the work. Looking at the project ourselves means the estimate reflects your home, and it means you get to ask questions face to face.
